Cricket West Indies (CWI) President Ricky Skerritt on Friday stated that the voice notes which have been circulated on social media, indicating a rift throughout the senior males’s crew, is a malicious assault on skipper Kieron Pollard. In keeping with CWI, voice notes have been circulated on social media, and in sections of the regional broadcast media, suggesting that there’s a rift throughout the West Indies Senior Males’s crew.
“Opposite to the unsubstantiated statements, containing unfounded and mischievous allegations, CWI is happy that there isn’t any discord between the Workforce Captain and any member of the West Indies crew,” acknowledged an official assertion.
CWI President Ricky Skerritt stated: “I view this as a malicious assault on the credibility of the West Indies Captain, designed to sow division inside our crew that has simply recorded three very spectacular T20I performances in opposition to very sturdy opponents, together with two excellent wins and one heroic comeback to get inside one run of victory.”
“This clear try by well-known mischief makers to discredit the Captain and to derail the Workforce’s momentum within the ongoing T20I Collection shouldn’t be tolerated or inspired,” he added.
West Indies lead England 2-1 within the five-match T20 Worldwide Collection at Kensington Oval in Barbados, the fourth and fifth matches of the sequence will likely be performed on the identical venue on Saturday and Sunday.
